Frequency

The data is the frequency or how often the vibration occurs. By tracking the time when a vibration peak occurs on a specific asset, the root cause can be determined.

Intensity

The strength of the vibration. The more vibrations obtained from a device, the higher the intensity measurement.


Once both types of data are collected, the CMMS records them in the asset history and uses them as points of comparison. When failures occur, they are reflected in the data, and by comparing current data to past trends, future failures and breakdowns can be predicted.
