Product Overview

Core Function: Used to measure the vibration acceleration of automotive seats in the three-dimensional direction to assess vehicle smoothness and ride comfort. By detecting the vibration data in the X (left and right), Y (front and rear), and Z (up and down) axial directions, it helps to optimize the design of the body structure and vibration damping system, and reduce the risk of long-term vibration damage to the human lumbar and cervical spine.

Structural composition and working principle

Physical structure: Seat cushion body: made of high hardness oil-resistant rubber (thickness 0.7-15 mm), gradient disc shape to reduce human discomfort.

Core Sensor: Built-in tri-axial piezoelectric ceramic element, sealed and dustproof design, screwed to the bottom of the seat cushion.

Cable and Interface: 5 meters shielded cable as standard, 3 BNC outputs.

Working Mechanism Vibration induces deformation of piezoelectric crystals, which is converted into electrical signals and amplified by the built-in IEPE circuit. Low-frequency response (from 0.5 Hz) captures sensitive human vibrations, and high-frequency range (up to 2 kHz) covers shock event analysis.

Installation and Positioning Methods

Installation Steps

Surface treatment: clean the surface of the seat, make sure it is flat and without bumps;

Placement of the sensor: Place the seat cushion in the center of the seat, with the marking line facing the front of the seat (the Y axis corresponds to the front-back direction of the human body);

Fixing method: Normal test: placed directly with the person sitting on it;

Bumpy environment: use the supplied strap (30 mm wide) to pass through the slot hole of the seat cushion and tighten it with a torque of ≤5 N-m to avoid excessive compression and deformation.

Axis definition (facing the driver's perspective) X-axis: left-right direction (human body shoulder line direction), Y-axis: front-back direction (chest and back direction), Z-axis: vertical direction (spine direction).

Forcible dismantling of the housing or pulling the cable (the root is easy to break).

✅ Recommended operation Use a thin layer of acrylic adhesive (thickness ≤ 0.1 mm) for adhesive mounting to avoid affecting the frequency response;

Use special tools to rotate and take off when disassembling, disable prying with blades.
